IWRC's Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation course is coming to Kingston, Rhode Island on October 11 & 12, 2008!
Lecture topics include an introduction to wildlife rehabilitation, basic
anatomy and physiology, calculating drug dosages, handling and physical
restraint, thermoregulation, stress, basic shock cycle, initial care, physical
examination, wildlife nutrition and associated diseases, standards for housing
of wildlife, zoonoses (diseases common to man and animals), raptor neonatal
care, euthanasia criteria, rehabilitation techniques for conditioning birds
for successful release, and release criteria.
Pre-registration is required. Interested parties should contact IWRC by September 19 in
order to attend this course. You may register for this course online at

mail.
