Our commitment is to perpetuating ethical, humane and professional wildlife rehabilitation. The ultimate goal of rehabilitation is the release of injured, ill, and orphaned wild animals back into natural habitat with appropriate survival skills. Wildlife rehabilitators are required by law to attain state and federal permits.
ReMaine Wild provides excellent educational opportunities through our annual conference, newsletters, printed literature and lending library. The annual conference includes both lectures and labs providing a forum for learning the most current techniques from various experts in the field.
ReMaine Wild boasts a membership of wildlife rehabilitators, biologists, veterinarians, professors, animal control officers, animal damage control agents, students, and many others dedicated to wildlife issues. Wildlife rehabilitation is not an exact science. Networking with all wildlife professionals allows for sharing information on changing techniques, strategies, and theories.
